Celebrating my 11th year of running everyday and you are hereby cordially invited to my running party!! That's 4,017 days of running at least one mile per day, no skipping, so let's celebrate with a run!

Allow me to share my story. On January 1, 2013 I had a secret goal of running 365 days in a row and was too afraid to profess my big hairy, audacious goal. I began the year with some ambiguous IG selfies showing a number board indicating the day of my runstreak, but didn't include any explanation behind the meaning of the photo until a few weeks into this project. By the end of the year, the cat was out of the bag and I wrapped up the year with a race-themed running party at Lake Elizabeth with about 50 friends. It serendipitously became an accidental fundraiser too, which then inspired me to keep this running streak going! Over the years, my party has grown to include friends from around the world and their friends too!

Join my 5k race-themed running party on my Run Streak Day 4,017, December 31, 2023. There are two ways you can party!

1) "From a distance" as a virtual runner or
2) IN PERSON at Lake Elizabeth in Fremont! (space is limited for the in-person event).

No worries if you cannot make it in person since you can run from wherever you are as a virtual runner, even if you're on vacation out of town! One of my cousins from Southern California will be gathering friends from her run club and doing a group run together to wrap up their year of training together. I'm excited to see where they'll run!

Although 2023 has been a challenging and heavy year collectively in the US and around the world, we are an endorphinated community with a lot of love to give.
