Mermaid Triathlon Capitola

One of the best All Women Triathlon's on the west coast.  The City of Capitola is the perfect venue offering an ocean swim around the wharf, views of the pacific, fun and challenging bike course followed by a run on the ocean bluff overlooking the town.  Let your friends and family know about your upcoming event by RSVP'ing to our Facebook page. Our new venue in Capitola is all about the beach and there's nothing better than the sand in your toes. To celebrate the joy of running on the beach we've turned our mini mermaid run into a "beach dash!" The one mile beach dash will be a 2 loop run from the finish area out along the hard pack sand to the end of the beach and back. Register your mini online for $15.00 or you can sign them up on race day for $20.00. <more>

Sprint Triathlon Race Categories - Family and Friends vs. Age Group vs. Athena
The Family and Friends category was started to allow athletes of any age to start together. It is very popular for first time triathletes, mother and daughter combos and friends who would otherwise be in different start waves. The Athena cateogory is for athletes 160lbs and over. If you would like to switch categories you must do so prior to September 16th. Category switches after September 16th are subject to a switch fee. To switch categories please send an email to info@mermaidseries.com. For more information on the different race categories please read our FAQ section.

Pre-Race Registration and Packet Pick-up
We'll be offering two pre-race opportunities to pick up your race packet. Picking up your packet prior to race day is the best way to keep your morning stress free. You'll get your bib numbers, t-shirt, goody bag, timing chip and wristband! We strongly encourage all athletes to pick up their race packets on Friday or Saturday.

Please note: There are very strict parking rules within the City of Capitola. Do not park in 2 hour metered parking or along streets where permits are required. You will be ticketed.
